Parallel = same slope
Y = 2.4x + b
Plug in the point to find b
1 = 2.4(3) + b
1 = 7.2 + b
b = -6.2
Final equation: y = 2.4x - 6.2

Please help me get the right answer?!
Aleksandr-060686 [28]
The answer is A, \frac{1}{81}. This is because when plugging in -2 for x, the expression will look like this: 9^{-2}. To make the exponent positive, you have to flip it into a fraction. Then it will be \frac{1}{9^2}. Lastly, you simplify the denominator into 81.

Akimi4 [234]

1. A

Since parallel lines never cross, then there can be no intersection; that is, for a system of equations that graphs as parallel lines, there can be no solution. This is called an "inconsistent" system of equations, and it has no solution.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

2. C

That's right. If a system of equations has a solution, then their graphs intersect, and the point where they intersect is the solution because it's the point that satisfies each equation in the system.

Straight-line graphs with the same slope are parallel lines, and they never intersect, which is another way of saying they have no solution.

Alborosie

Answer:

A. Agree, 4 children is the most typical number of children.

Step-by-step explanation:

By analysis the problem, we can make our decision by first determining the percent of 3.55 of 4

therefore the percentage can be computed as

=(3.55/4)*100

=0.8875*100

=88.75%

The analysis above it shows that 88.75 percent of the women who give birth to children give birth to 4 children.

This number is very close to a hundred percent hence the statistical claim is "Agree, 4 children is the most typical number of children."

Write an inequality to represent all combinations of numbers whose sum is greater than 10.
Vlada [557]

Answer:

x>10

Step-by-step explanation:

What this is saying is the variable "x" is any number.

To then make it an inequality im using the greater than symbol (not to be confused with greater than or equal to symbol)

So this means if x= "any number" and has a greater than symbol.

"any number" is greater than 10.
