A magnetic field is used to suspend a wire of mass 0.05 kgkg and length 0.16 mm . The wire is carrying a current of 11 AA . What
pochemuha

Answer:

B=0.27840\ T

Explanation:

Given:

mass of the wire, m=0.05\ kg

length of the wire, L=0.16\ m

current in the wire, I=11\ A

Now form the Lorentz force we know that every current carrying wire experiences a magnetic force on it due to the magnetic field components perpendicular to it.

Mathematically given as:

F=I.L\times B

m.g=I.L\times B

here: we nee to balance the gravitational force on the mass.

B= magnetic field

0.05\times 9.8=11\times 0.16\times B

B=0.27840\ T

This magnetic field must be perpendicular to the direction of current in the wire and the these two directional quantities must lie in a plane normal to the direction of gravity according to the Fleming's left hand rule.

Suppose you are playing baseball and hit a home run. What forces slow down the ba while it is in motion? If you hit a home run i
mart [117]

Answer:

Air resistance slows down the ball

In space, there would be no air resistance

Explanation:

When an object moves through the air, there is a force acting in the opposite direction to the motion of the ball: this force is called air resistance.

Air resistance is due to the friction between the molecules of air and the molecules at the surface of the object - because of this frictional force, the object is slows down in its motion and loses some energy (which is converted into thermal energy of the surrounding air).

There is also the force of gravity (downward) that acts on the ball: however, this force does not slows down the ball in its motion, instead it accelerates it towards the ground.

In space, however, there is no air and no gravity. This means that there are no forces acting on the ball: therefore, the ball will not be slowed down, and therefore will continue its motion forever, at constant velocity, according to Newton's first law:

An object at rest (or in motion) will stay at rest (or in motion at constant velocity) when the net external force acting on it is zero

Who conducted the study?

Explanation:

One good question to ask the toothpaste making company is who conducted the study?

A company making toothpaste claiming a scientific study revealed that their toothpaste makes the mouth five times cleaner must have introduced a bias in this finding.

  • For a scientific study to be accepted and substantiated, it must have been tested and repeated by other scientists.
  • If no other scientist confirms this, then there is an obvious bias in the claim and it is not scientific.

If it took 3 hours to clean 6 houses, how many houses could be cleaned in 12 hours?
mel-nik [20]

Answer:

24

Explanation:

If it took 3 hours to clean 6 houses than you can figure that is 2 houses per hours. so if there are 12 hours and 2 houses an hour, you multiply 12x2 and get 24. Another way to do it is to use proportions (aka two fractions that equal eachother):

  3 hours                12 hours

----------------    =    ---------------

6 houses          number of houses

To calculate this, we can think about how we go from 3 to 12. Well, 3x4 is 12, so we got to 12 by doing multiplying by 4. So we can multiply 6 by 4 and you get 24.
