Plss help me pass . I am so confused in chemistry !!
Lapatulllka [165]

Answer:

Explanation:

Ok so an atom is each ball. So in the first one there are 5 balls. In the second one there are 4 and so on. A molecule contains more than two balls. So they are all molecules. For the counting reactants and products, count how many balls are to the left of the arrow which is your number of reactants and count the balls to the right to find the number of product atoms.

The red arrow is pointed at different locations of an atom of Helium. Where is it pointing to the GREATEST concentration of atom
Mama L [17]

Answer:

A is the correct answer.

Explanation:

An atom consist of electron, protons and neutrons. Protons and neutrons are present with in nucleus while the electrons are present out side the nucleus.

All these three subatomic particles construct an atom. A neutral atom have equal number of proton and electron. In other words we can say that negative and positive charges are equal in magnitude and cancel the each other. For example if neutral atom has 6 protons than it must have 6 electrons. The sum of neutrons and protons is the mass number of an atom while the number of protons are number of electrons is the atomic number of an atom.

For example  in case of Helium:

The 1st one diagram shows that arrow is pointing with in nucleus. The helium nucleus contain two protons and two neutrons. Thus maximum mass is present with in nucleus. while two electrons are revolve around the nucleus and mass of electron is negligible.

When a barium atom loses two electrons what charge does it have
Darya [45]

Answer:

It becomes a positive ion and its radius decreases

Explanation:

As per the Octet rule, Barium has 2 electrons in its outermost shell. When it loses the two electron it gains two positive charge i.e Ba2+. As the barium loses the two electron from its outermost shell, the outermost shell becomes vacant and thus is no more considered as a part of atomic geometry of the barium atom and since the outermost shell is considered negligible the radius of barium atom reduces automatically.
