The air pressure is a measure of the pressure of the air. The vapour pressure of a liquid, say, water, is a function of its temperature and does not depend on the air pressure. ... Its vapour pressure is higher than atmospheric pressure so its temperature is higher than the boiling point of water.

A sample of helium gas has a volume of 2.0 L at a pressure of 4.0 atm. What is the volume of gas at 380 mmHg
Lilit [14]
From equation;
P1V1=P2V2
V2=P1V1÷P2
since P2=380mmHg
now;1atm=760mmHg
how about 380mmHg is equal to how many atm?
380×1÷760=0.5atm
P2 now is equal to 0.5atm
back from equation;
P1V1=P2V2
V2=P1V1÷P2
V2=4.0atm×2.0L÷0.5atm
V2=16L
therefore V2=16L.

If a solid line represents a covalent bond and a dotted line represents intermolecular attraction, which of these choices shows
blsea [12.9K]
Generally, a hydrogen bond can be characterized as a proton shared by two lone electron pairs. It occurs when a hydrogen (H) atom, covalently bound to a highly electronegative atom such as nitrogen (N), oxygen (O), or fluorine (F), experiences the electrostatic field of another highly electronegative atom nearby.

   Among the choices in the bond (-N...H-O) one side of the Hydrogen is bonded to a highly electronegative atom with a lone pair (-N) and the other side is directly bonded with a highly electronegative atom (O-).

    So -N...H-O- shows a hydrogen bond.

The body metabolizes glucose (C6H12O6) by burning it with oxygen to produce carbon dioxide, water and energy. If 3 moles of gluc
zhannawk [14.2K]

Answer: 18g

Explanation:

1 mle of glucose combusts to give 6moles of CO2 and 6moles of H2O

C6H12O6 + 6O2-------- 6CO2 + 6H2O at STP.

Multiplying 6 by 3 moles we have 18 g of CO2

The decomposition of ethyl amine, C2H5NH2, occurs according to the reaction: C2H5NH2(g)⟶C2H4(g)+NH3(g) At 85∘C, the rate constan
statuscvo [17]

Answer:

2.772 seconds

Explanation:

Given that;

t1/2 = 0.693/k

Where;

t1/2 = half life of the reaction

k= rate constant

Note that decomposition is a first order reaction since the rate of reaction depends on the concentration of one reactant

t1/2 = 0.693/2.5 x 10-1 s-1

t1/2= 2.772 seconds
