Using the formula PV=nRT
we know:
n= 0.750mol
R= 0.0821 (L•atm)/(mol•K)
V= 6850 ml = 6.85 L
P= 2.21 atm
and we need to find T
all you have to do is divide PV by nR and you will find T, like this:
t =  \frac{p \times v}{n \times r} \\ t =  \frac{2.21atm \times 6.85l}{0.750mol \times 0.0821 \frac{atm \times l}{mol \times k} }  \\ t = 246k
The temperature of the gas is D)246 K

A certain substance X has a normal freezing point of -10.1 degree C and a molal freezing point depression constant K_f = 5.32 de
kirill115 [55]

Answer: -15.4^00C

Explanation:

T^0_f-T_f=i\times k_f\times \frac{w_2\times 1000}{M_2\times w_1}

where,

T_f = boiling point of solution = ?

T^o_f = boiling point of solvent (X) = -10.1^oC

k_f = freezing point constant  = 5.32^oC/kgmol

m = molality

i = Van't Hoff factor = 1 (for non-electrolyte like urea)

= mass of solute (urea) = 29.82 g

= mass of solvent (X) = 500.0 g

M_2 = molar mass of solute (urea) = 60 g/mol

Now put all the given values in the above formula, we get:

(-10.1-(T_f))^oC=1\times (5.32^oC/m)\times \frac{(29.82g)\times 1000}{60\times (500.0g)}

T_f=-15.4^0C

Therefore, the freezing point of  solution is -15.4^0C

In a crystal, the molecules are closer together as they are in any solid. they have less room to move, and might even be combined together rather than individual

A 51.24-g sample of Ba(OH)2 is dissolved in enough water to make 1.20 liters of solution. How many mL of this solution must be d
g100num [7]

Answer:

0.40 L

Explanation:

Calculation of the moles of Ba(OH)_2 as:-

Mass = 51.24 g

Molar mass of Ba(OH)_2 = 171.34 g/mol

The formula for the calculation of moles is shown below:

moles = \frac{Mass\ taken}{Molar\ mass}

Thus,

Moles= \frac{51.24\ g}{171.34\ g/mol}

Moles= 0.2991\ mol

Volume = 1.20 L

The expression for the molarity is:

Molarity=\frac{Moles\ of\ solute}{Volume\ of\ the\ solution}

Molarity=\frac{0.2991\ mol}{1.20\ L}=0.24925\ M

Thus,

Considering

Molarity_{working\ solution}\times Volume_{working\ solution}=Molarity_{stock\ solution}\times Volume_{stock\ solution}

Given  that:

Molarity_{working\ solution}=0.100\ M

Volume_{working\ solution}=1\ L

Volume_{stock\ solution}=?

Molarity_{stock\ solution}=0.24925\ M

So,

0.100\ M\times 1\ L=0.24925\ M\times Volume_{stock\ solution}

Volume_{stock\ solution}=\frac{0.100\times 1}{0.24925}\ L=0.40\ L

<u>The volume of 0.24925M stock solution added = 0.40 L </u>
