Write and solve an eqn of ratios to determine the answer to this qu:

156 miles      4 gallons
-------------- = --------------
        x             6 gallons

So (156)(6) = 4x, or 39(6) = x = 234 miles (answer)

Alternatively, determine the unit rate:

156 miles
-------------- = 39 mpg
4 gallons

Then 39 mpg times 6 gallons comes out to 234 miles.

Joe is a waiter at a local pizza parlor. he usually gets a tip from the tables he waits on. the bill for one table comes to $34w
Lilit [14]

Answer:

t=p*34

Step-by-step explanation:

t=p*T, where T is the bill for the table Joe waited on, p is the percent tip and t is the tip left for the waiter

In this situation, the bill is 34, so lets plug that in

t=p*34
