The liquid is being heated.

Chemistry

there should be less liquid at the end of the experiment since heating liquid is an endothermic process, and endothermic processes typically break the bonds between liquids. The applied heat would soon break the bonds that hold the molecules of the liquid together, and evaporation would occur once the temperature is hot enough. Thus, the evaporated water would decrease the volume of the liquid.

Mannoheptulose is a sugar found in avocados. If each C-C bond contains 76 kcal of energy and each C-H bond contains 91 kcal, how
nadya68 [22]

Answer:

Total Kcal energy produced in the catabolism of mannoheptulose = 1184 Kcal

Explanation:

The molecular formula of mannoheptulose is C₇H₁₄O₇.

The structure is as shown in the attachment below.

Number of C-C bonds present in mannoheptulose = 6

Number of C-H bonds present in mannoheptulose = 8

Since the each C-C bond contains 76 Kcal of energy,

Amount of energy present in six C-C bonds = 6 * 76 = 456 Kcal

Also, since each C-H bond contains 91 Kcal of energy;

amount of energy present in eight C-H bonds = 8 * 91 = 728 Kcal

Total Kcal energy produced in the catabolism of mannoheptulose = 456 + 728 = 1184 Kcal

Student carries out a titration to determine the concentration of a solution of
Nimfa-mama [501]

The concentration of the Nitric acid solution : 0.114 M

<h3>Further explanation  </h3>

Titration is a procedure for determining the concentration of a solution (analyte) by reacting with another solution whose known concentration (usually a standard solution) is called the titrant. Determination of the endpoint/equivalence point of the reaction can use indicators according to the appropriate pH range

Titrations can be acid-base titration, depositional titration, and redox titration. An acid-base titration is the principle of neutralization of acids and bases

Reaction

HNO₃ + NaOH → NaNO₃ + H₂O

Concentration a standard solution  of sodium hydroxide :  0.0998 mol/dm³ , and the volume = 25 cm³

moles NaOH=

\tt mol=M\times V\\\\mol=0.0998\times 25\\\\mol=2.495~mlmoles

<em>From the equation, mol ratio HNO₃ : NaOH = 1 : 1, so mol HNO₃ = mol NaOH=</em><em>2.495 mlmoles</em>

<em></em>

The volume of HNO₃ = 21.8 cm³, so the concentration :

\tt M=\dfrac{n}{V}\\\\M=\dfrac{2.495}{21.8}\\\\M=0.114
