For exothermic processes, spontaneity will only occur if the entropy positive with all temperature or if the entropy is negative with only low temperature.

Since the given equation decomposed from 2 moles of gas into 3 moles of gas, we know that entropy is positive. Thus the reaction will be spontaneous at all temperature.

D is the answer

How many moles of oxygen atoms are present in 30.5 grams of hydrogen peroxide (h2o2)?
Pepsi [2]

1.8 moles of oxygen atoms are present in 30.5 grams of hydrogen peroxide.

<u>Explanation:</u>

First we have to convert the given weight of hydrogen peroxide to molar mass of hydrogen peroxide. So for this, we have to divide the given weight with the molecular mass of hydrogen peroxide.

       \text {Molecular mass of } \mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O}_{2}=(2 \times 1)+(2 \times 16)=2+32=34 \mathrm{g}

So,

     \text {Molar mass of } \mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O}_{2}=\frac{30.5}{34}=0.90 \text { moles of } \mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O}_{2}

Second step, in this moles, 2 molecules of oxygen are present. Thus 1 mole of Hydrogen peroxide consists of 2 moles of oxygen. Then,

        0.90 moles of $\mathrm{H}_{2} \mathrm{O}_{2}=2 \times 0.90=1.8$ moles of oxygen

So, 30.5 grams of hydrogen peroxide consists of 1.8 moles of oxygen.

A reaction will most likely occur if the colliding particles have the proper
fenix001 [56]
Answer: a rection will most likely occur if the colliding partilces have the proper orientation and energy.

The reactions occur becasue the molecules collide.

But not all the collisions result in a reaction.

The collisions have to meet some requirements.

Two of the basic requirements is that the collision has enough energy to overcome the activation energy and that the molecules collide in the riight way.

When two molecules react it is necessary that one element of one of the molecules interact when a specific element or group in the other molecule. That is the orientation must be the right one.

Collisions that to not have the proper orientation or enough energy will not cause reaction (changes in the bonds of the molecules).
