Chemistry

We use the term formula unit for ionic compounds because ;

 • Ionic compounds consist of cations and anions present in constant ratio ( C )
 • Ionic compounds consist of continuous arrays of cations and anions ( D )

The molecule of an ionic compound gets attached to another molecule of an ionic compound via electrostatic force of attraction. this form of attraction between the molecules forms an arranged lattice structure. and due to this well arranged lattice structure an ionic compound can be termed as a Formula unit and not molecule.

Hence the correct options are as listed above

bearhunter [10]

Answer:

The pH of the solution is 8, 40-

Explanation:

The pH indicates the acidity or basicity of a substance. PH values between 0 and less than 7 indicate acidic solutions, 7 neutral and greater than 7 to 14 basic. It is calculated as

pH = -log (H30+)

pH= -log (4x10-9M)

pH=8,40

What was the major shortcoming of rutherfords model of an atom
andre [41]

The major shortcoming of Rutherford's model was that it was incomplete. It did not explain how the atom's negatively charged electrons are distributed in the space surrounding its positively charged nucleus. A form of energy that exhibits wavelike behavior as it travels through space.
