Answer: The metals are to the left of the line (except for hydrogen, which is a nonmetal), the nonmetals are to the right of the line, and the elements immediately adjacent to the line are the metalloids.

Explanation:i know only one metalloids

The map shows the global distribution of amphibians. The number of different amphibian species found in an area is
harkovskaia [24]
What's up? im not gonna type a whole thing but you probably could make do with this info:

amphibians need water and a moist environment. north africa will constantly have droughts/low amounts of water, so amphibians could not survive there. in Antarctica, it is much too cold and as cold blooded animals they would simply freeze to death

best of luck with your studies

What mass of naoh is needed to precipitate the cd2+ ions from 35.0 ml of 0.530 m cd(no3)2 solution?
oksano4ka [1.4K]

The reaction is given as:

2NaOH+Cd(NO_{3})_{2}\rightarrow Cd(OH)_{2}+NaNO_{3}

Here, one mole of cadmium nitrate gives one mole of cadmium hydroxide.

Now,

number of moles = Concentration \times Volume  (1)

Concentration = 0.530 M

Volume = 35.0 mL

Substitute the above values in formula (1):

number of moles = 0.530 M\times  35.0 mL \times 10^{-3} L  (1 L =1000 mL)

= 18.55\times 10^{-3} moles

From the reaction, two moles of sodium hydroxide is needed to give one mole of cadmium hydroxide.

Now,

number of moles of sodium hydroxide which is needed to give 18.55\times 10^{-3} moles of cadmium hydroxide.

Number of moles of sodium hydroxide  =18.55\times 10^{-3} moles of Cd(OH)_{2} \times \frac{2 mol of NaOH}{1 mol of Cd(OH)_{2}}

= 37.1\times 10^{-3} mol

Now, mass of sodium hydroxide is calculated by:

Mass of sodium hydroxide  =Moles\times Molar mass

= 37.1\times 10^{-3} mol\times 40 g/mol

= 1.484 g

Thus, mass of sodium hydroxide required is 1.484 g

What mass precipitate will form of 1.50 L of highly concentrated Pb(Clo3)2 is mixed with 0.300 L of 0.110 M NaI
snow_tiger [21]

Given:

1.50 L of highly concentrated Pb(Clo3)2

0.300 L of 0.110 M NaI

Required:

mass precipitate of highly concentrated Pb(Clo3)2

Solution:

M1V1 = M2V2

M1(1.50 L of highly concentrated Pb(Clo3)2) = (0.300 L)(0.110 M NaI)

M1 = 0.022M Pb(Clo3)2 = 0.022 mol/L Pb(Clo3)2

Molar mass of Pb(Clo3)2= 374.2 g/mol

Mass of Pb(Clo3)2 = (0.022 mol/L Pb(Clo3)2)( 1.50 L)( 374.2 g/mol) = 12.35g Pb(Clo3)2
