Let

x---------> the number of pounds of pears

y---------> the number of pounds of apples

z---------> the total cost

we know that

z=0.92*x+1.10*y------> equation 1

x=3.75 lb-------> equation 2

y=2.1 lb -------> equation 3

Find the total cost

Substitute equation 2 and equation 3 in equation 1

z=0.92*(3.75)+1.10*(2.1)--------> z=3.45+2.31------------> z=$5.76

therefore

the answer is

$5.76

Can someone please help me with part b?
gogolik [260]

Answer:

x-intercept(s): (-2, 0), (6, 0)

y-intercept(s): (0, -6)

Step-by-step explanation:

An x-intercept represents the point(s) at which the parabola intersects the x axis. A parabola can have 0, 1, or 2 x-intercepts.

A y-intercept represents the point at which the parabola intersects the y axis. A parabola always has exactly 1 y-intercept.

Hope it helps :) and let me know if you're still confused.

Which polynomial correctly combines the like terms and puts the given polynomial in standard form?
Minchanka [31]

Answer: -5x^3y^3+8x^4y^2-7xy^5+x^2y^4+8x^6

Step-by-step explanation:

-5x^3y^3+8x^4y^2-xy^5-2x^2y^4+8x^6+3x^2y^4-6xy^5

-5x^3y^3+8x^4y^2+(-xy^5-6xy^5)+(-2x^2y^4+3x^2y^4)+8x^6

-5x^3y^3+8x^4y^2+(-7xy^5)+(x^2y^4)+8x^6

-5x^3y^3+8x^4y^2-7xy^5+x^2y^4+8x^6

The cost of eight stress balls and five T-shirts is $111.75. The cost of twelve stress balls and four T-shirts is $102.00. What
aksik [14]
Let's say stress ball cost x and t shirt cost y
8x+5y=111.75
12x+4y=102.00→3x+y=25.5→y=25.5-3x

8x+5(25.5-3x)= 111.75
8x+127.5-15x=111.75
-7x=-15.75
x=2.25

12x+4y=102
12(2.25)+4y=102
27+4y=102
4y=75
y=18.75
