The total area of US,

  • P(U) = 3.79 million square miles

Area covered be Taxes,

  • P(T) = 0.27 million square miles

According to the Baye's theorem,

→ P(\frac{T}{U} ) = \frac{P(T)\times P(\frac{U}{T} )}{P(U)}

By substituting the values, we get

→ \frac{P(T)}{P(U)}  = \frac{0.27}{3.79}

→         =0.071
