Perimeter = sum of all sides
2x + 9x - 7 + x = 113
Combine like terms
12x - 7 = 113
12x = 120, x = 10
Plug in 10 for x for each side
2(10) = 20 feet
9(10) - 7 = 83 feet
x = 10 feet
The lengths of the sides are 20, 83, 10 feet

Find the coordinates of the midpoint of the segment with the given pair of endpoints. J(6, 6); K(2, –4)
Levart [38]

Answer:

(4,1)

Step-by-step explanation:

let J(6,6) be x1, y1

let K(2,-4) be x2, y2

midpoint = (x1+x2)/2 , (y1+y2)/2

=(6+2)/2 ,(6-4)/2

= 8/2 ,2/2

=4, 1

Answer:

a. i. x ≤ 25 ii. 16 < x < 35 iii. 25 < x ≤ 95

b. The second and third car seats are appropriate for a 35 lb child.

Step-by-step explanation:

a. Model those ranges with compound inequalities

Let x represent the car seat.

i. A car seat designed for a child weighing up to  and including 25 lb is described by the inequality.

x ≤ 25

ii. A car seat designed for a child weighing between 16 lb  and 35 lb is described by the inequality.

16 < x < 35

iii. A car seat designed for a child weighing between 25 lb  and 95 lb inclusive is described by the inequality.

25 < x ≤ 95

b. Which car seats are appropriate for a  33-lb child?

Since 35 lb is included in the range of the inequalities for the second and third card seats, the second and third car seats are appropriate for a 35 lb child.

Help Please? Factor Completely: 2x2 − 32
yawa3891 [41]

Answer:

Option 4th is correct

2 \cdot (x-4)(x+4)

Step-by-step explanation:

Using difference of square:

a^2-b^2=(a-b)(a+b)

GCF is the largest number that divide the given polynomial or expression.

Given the expression:

2x^2-32

We have to completely factor the expression.

GCF of 2x^2 and 32 is, 2

then;

2 \cdot (x^2-16)

Using difference of square

2 \cdot (x-4)(x+4)

therefore, the completely factor of 2x^2-32 is, 2 \cdot (x-4)(x+4)
