Answer:

He became king of the Franks and then conquered other lands.Explanation:

Charlemagne became king of the Franks after the death of his father, Pepin the Short.

He inherited a sizeable portion of land that included what is now France, the Low Countries, and parts of Germany.

Charlemange launched several military campaigns throughout his long reign (he ruled for 46 years), and was highly successful in most of them. He conquered Northern and Central Italy, what is now Switzerland and Austria, and the majority of modern day Germany.

He was crowned Holy Roman Emperor in the year 800 by Pope Leo III. In exchange for this, Charlemange ceded a section of Central Italy to the Pople: the Papal States, which would be under direct control of the Roman Catholic Church until the Napoleonic Era.

How much heat is needed to raise the temperature of 50g of a substance by 15c when the specific heat is 0.92?
kirill [66]
The  heat  needed  to  raise  the  temperature   of  50g  of  substance  by    15 c   is  calculated as   follows

Heat  =   mc delta  T

m= mass   (50g)
c=  specific  heat  capacity  (0.92)
delta T=  change  in  temperature(  15 c)

heat  is  therefore=   50   x  0.92  x  15  =  690

The universe contains only about one-tenth as many helium atoms as hydrogen atoms. But a hydrogen atom is only one-quarter the m
oksano4ka [1.4K]

Answer:

the ratio of the universe's helium to hydrogen by mass is 2:5 approximately.

Explanation:

To solve this question, we assign arbitrary values to these elements in tandem to the data given in the question.

nH, Number of Hydrogen atoms = X = 100

nHe, Number of Helium atoms = 0.1X = Y = 10

From the data given, by mass:

if the mass of Hydrogen atom = 1g = 100g

therefore, the mass of a Helium atom = 4g (1*4) = 40g

Mass ratio of Helium to Hydrogen = 40:100 = 4:10 = 2:5 approximately

As a chlorine atom becomes a negative ion, the atom blanks an electron
Andrew [12]

Answer: increases by

As a chlorine atom becomes a negative ion, the atom "increases by" an electron

Explanation:

Chlorine atom has an atomic number of 17, and an electronic configuration of 1s2, 2s2 2p6, 3s2 3p5 showing 7 valence electrons in its outermost shell.

Hence, it receives a single electron to achieve a stable octet structure with electronic configuration of

1s2, 2s2 2p6, 3s2 3p6. Therefore, Cl- is a univalent negative ion with 8 valence electrons in its outermost shell. The increase is shown below

Cl + e- --> Cl-

Thus, as a chlorine atom becomes a negative ion, the atom "increases by" an electron
