Answer:

the \: third \: angle \: of \: triangle \: is \: 70 \\sum \: of \: triangle \: angles = 180 \:   \\ 70 + 5x + 6x - 11 = 180 \\ 11x + 59 = 180 \\ 11x = 180 - 59 = 121 \\ x = 121 \div 11 = 11

y=f(x) is odd (f(-x)=-f(x)) and f(x>0) = x^2-5x-12, x is not = to 0. What points does the line f(x)=12 go through.
solmaris [256]
<span>f(x<0)=-f(x>0)=-x^2+5x+12 When x>0, x^2-5x-12=12, x=8, y=12 Therefore, f(x)=12 goes through point (8,12).</span>

A scale drawing of a field is shown below. The drawing uses a scale of 1 in. = 14 ft. What is the area of the actual field?
svp [43]

Answer:

D. 4,704 ft²

Step-by-step explanation:

Giving a scale of 1 in. = 14 ft, to find the actual area of the field represented by the triangular drawing above, convert the length of the base and height to the actual lengths of the field using the scale.

Height of drawing = 8 in.

Actual height = 8*14 = 112 ft

Base of drawing = 6 in.

Actual base = 6*14 = 84 ft

Area of the field = area of ∆

Area = ½*base*height

Area = ½*84*112

Area = 4,704 ft²

Christina collected information about the ages of the players on her softball team. The ages were 10, 12, 14, 13, 12, 11, 13, 12
BARSIC [14]

We are told that Christina collected information about the ages of the players on her softball team. The ages were 10, 12, 14, 13, 12, 11, 13, 12, 11, 12, 12, and 13. Christina wants to describe the players’ ages in an article for the school newspaper.

Since we know that range of a data is difference between the highest and lowest values of a data set. Range of our data set will be 4 (14-10). A group of different ages could have same range as Christina's data set. So range will be not a good option.

A measure of central tendencies will be better option to represent information about ages of softball team players. Mean will give the average age of softball players.

\text{Mean age of players}=\frac{10+11+11+12+12+12+12+12+13+13+13+14}{12}

\text{Mean age of players}=\frac{145}{12}=12.0833

Let us find median of data.

10,11,11,12,12,12,12,12,13,13,13,14

\text{Median age of softball players}=\frac{12+12}{2}

\text{Median age of softball players}=\frac{24}{2}=12

We can see that average of our data is 12 years.

Therefore, a measure of central tendency will be better choice to describe ages of softball players.

You set 49 equal to 8x - 15

So

8x - 15 = 49
+15 + 15

8x = 64

Then divide by 8

X= 8
