Hovercraft was known to be a car series that was build and operated by the British. It is an air-cushion vehicles (ACVs) that existed for about 40 year, from 1959 to 2000.

It is known to ferry passengers and automobiles across the English Channel.

Conclusively, a cross-Channel Hovercraft were built by Saunders-Roe Limited of the Isle of Wight and it successor company. It was popularly called hovertravel.
