Answer:

Mass does not change based on gravity

Explanation:

Mass is how much matter is in an object. That's why we have the same mass on Moon, Neptune, etc.

But weight depends on gravity. That's why our weight on the moon is less than Earth because the Moon's gravity is less than Earth.

Calculate the molar mass of RbOH
Ghella [55]

Hey there!

RbOH

Rb: 1 x 85.468 = 85.468

O: 1 x 16 = 16

H: 1 x 1.008 = 1.008

------------------------------------

                   102.476

The molar mass of RbOH is 102.476 g/mol.

Hope this helps!

What typefs) of bonding would be expected for each of the following materials: solid xenon, calcium fluoride (CaF, bronze, cadmi
klio [65]

Answer:

a) Solid Xenon - only van der waals forces of attractions.

b) Calcium Fluoride - Ionic Bonding

c) Bronze - Metallic Bonding

d) Cadmium telluride - Covalent bonding with slight ionic character.

e) Rubber - Covalent bonding with some van der Waals forces of attraction.

f) Tungsten - Metallic bonding

Explanation:

a) Xenon is a noble gas having fully filled stable electronic configuration.

So, there is no bonding between xenon atoms in solid xenon.

Only van der waals forces of attraction are found.

b) Calcium fluoride is an ionic compound formed from calcium (2+) and Fluoride ion.

c) Bronze is an alloy formed mainly from copper and tin which are both metals.

So, metallic bonding is in found in bronze.

d) Cadmium telluride is formed form cadimium (2+) ion and Telluride ion with -2 charge.

So, it has slight ionic character with predominant covalent bonding

e) Rubber is a polymer which is formed from isoprene units.

So, covalent bonding exists along with van der waals forces.

f) Tungsten is a metal. So, metallic bonding is found between the atoms of tungsten.

Bronze contains 90 to 95 percent copper and 5 to 10 percent tin. Because these percentages can vary, bronze is classified as
Gennadij [26K]
Answer: a mixture.

Justification:

1) Pure substances have a definite chemical formula: the same kind of atoms with the same fixed ratios and chemical bonds. Therefore, the percents of each element do not varye.

2) Elements and compounds are pure substaces. For example, Fe, Mg, Ti, are elements, and CO₂, CO, H₂CO₃ are compounds. Each of them will have always the same kind of atoms, in the same ratio and with the same chemcial bonds. Therefore the percents of the elements do not varye.

3) Mixtures are formed by the physical combination (not chemical bonds) of different elements or compounds in variable proportions. As indicated, this describes the material bronze, in virtue of the variation of its composition. Other examples of mixtures are solutions (like brines), air, ocean water, and milk: different brines, different oceans and different milk have different contents of elements or compounds.
