Enzymes are biological molecules which serve as catalysts for various reactions in the body.

Enzymes are known to catalyze various biochemical processes in the body and are indispensable in the body. The untrue statement about enzymes is that all enzymes have the same shape. Since enzymes are specific and they work in a lock and key model. Each enzyme has a unique shape that suits its substrate.

Each enzyme binds to an active site. The active site refers to the part of the body where the enzyme discharges its function as shown in the figure.

Since an enzyme does not participate in a chemical reaction, the enzyme will remain unchanged at the end of the reaction. Enzymes are proteins, this is the group of biological molecules to which they belong.

What passes through a cell using passive transport?
Tanzania [10]
Passive transport is a movement ofbiochemicals and other atomic or molecularsubstances across cell membranes without need of energy input. Unlike active transport, it does not require an input of cellular energy because it is instead driven by the tendency of the system to grow in entropy. The rate of passive transport depends on thepermeability of the cell membrane, which, in turn, depends on the organization and characteristics of the membrane lipids andproteins. The four main kinds of passive transport are simple diffusion, facilitated diffusion, filtration and osmosis.
