When 92.0 g of ethanol (c2h5oh are vaporized at its boiling point of 78.3°c, it requires 78.6 kj of energy. what is the approxim
Juli2301 [7.4K]

The solution would be like this for this specific problem:

(78.6 kJ) / (92.0 g / (46.0684 g C2H5OH/mol)) = 39.4 kJ/mol

39.3

So the approximate molar heat of vaporization of ethanol in kJ/mol is 39.3.

I hope this answers your question.

What is the net ionic equation for the precipitation reaction between BaCl2 and Na2So4? I know the answer ( Ba2+(aq) + SO42-(aq)
elixir [45]

Answer:

Net ionic equation:

Ba²⁺(aq) + SO₄²⁻(aq) → BaSO₄(s)

Explanation:

Chemical equation:

BaCl₂ + Na₂SO₄ → BaSO₄ + NaCl

Balanced Chemical equation:

BaCl₂(aq) + Na₂SO₄(aq) → BaSO₄(s) + 2NaCl(aq)

Ionic equation:

Ba²⁺(aq) + 2Cl⁻(aq) + 2Na⁺(aq) + SO₄²⁻(aq) → BaSO₄(s)+ 2Na⁺(aq) + 2Cl⁻ (aq)

Net ionic equation:

Ba²⁺(aq) + SO₄²⁻(aq) → BaSO₄(s)

The Cl⁻(aq) and Na⁺ (aq) are spectator ions that's why these are not written in net ionic equation. The BaSO₄ can not be splitted into ions because it is present in solid form.

Spectator ions:

These ions are same in both side of chemical reaction. These ions are cancel out. Their presence can not effect the equilibrium of reaction that's why these ions are omitted in net ionic equation.

why are isotopes that have relatively short half lives the only ones used in medical diagnostic tests
Anettt [7]
Hence, it is less preferrable to choose an isotope to enter your body, which will emit radioactivity for a long time, so we tend to choose isotopes, the radioactivity of which ceases quickly, so that the least possible amount of damage is caused to the cells
