Balance Jan 1 = $40000
Interest Mar 31 = 40000 x 5% = $2000
Balance Mar 31 = 40000 + 2000 = $42000
Withdraw Jun 10 = $3000
New balance = $39000
Interest Jun 30 = 39000 x 5% = $1950
Balance Jun 30 = 39000 + 1950 = $40950
Interest Sep 30 = 40950 x 5% = $2047.50
Balance Sep 30 = 40950 + 2047.50 = $42997.50
Interest Dec 31 = 42997.50 x 5% = $2149.88 rounding up to nearest cent

A 15 pound bag of ice costs $ 1.80. Give the unit rate.
Vaselesa [24]
We can use a rule of three simple, direct proportion to solve this problem.
15 pounds correspond to $1.80, then the question is to find the price of one pound, the called unit rate. We state the rule of three:
15 pound ---->  $1.80
 1 pound -----> x
x = (1)(1.80)/15
x = 0.12
Therefore, each pound costs $0.12 that is the unit rate in pounds

Answer:

The value of a is 50°.

Step-by-step explanation:

In an isosceles triangle, 2 sides have the same lengths and same angles so we can assume that the other side of the triangle is 65°.

Given that the total angle of a triangle is 180°, so have to subtract it :

a = 180 - 65 - 65

a = 180 - 130

a = 50

5x-2y=11 and 3x+4y=4<br>Find the value of x and y in equation.
nadya68 [22]
  • 5x-3y=11---(1)
  • 3x+4y=4---(2)

(1)×3 and (2)×5

  • 15x-9y=33-(3)
  • 15x+20y=20-(4)

Subtract both

\\ \sf\longmapsto -29y=13

\\ \sf\longmapsto y=\dfrac{-13}{29}

  • Put in eq(1)

\\ \sf\longmapsto 5x+\dfrac{-117}{29}=11

\\ \sf\longmapsto 5x=11+\dfrac{117}{29}=\dfrac{261+117}{29}=\dfrac{278}{29}

\\ \sf\longmapsto x=\dfrac{278}{145}

Answer:

h = 36.9 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

The function given to us is:

h(t) = 51 + 20 sin(225t)

Where h(t) is the function of the height in centimeters while t represents the time in seconds.

We have to find the height h(t) when the time is equal to 19 seconds.

Substitute t=19 into the given function

h(19) = 51 + 20 sin(225(19))

h(19) = 51 + 20 sin(4275)

h(19) = 51 + 20 (-0.7071)

h(19) = 51 + (-14,1421)

h(19) = 36.8579 cm

Rounding off to nearest 10th

h = 36.9 cm
