Flexibility determine the maximum range of motion that your joint manage to achieve. Which means that people wtih low flexibility with have poor mobility, and have higher chance of getting pain in injuries if they made any movement that is outside the scope of their range of motion.

because imagine if you are doing your daily activities and you stretch a ligament. Since they are daily activities you should already have that range of motion in you. If not then your flexibility range is not good and could lead to injuries like stretching a ligament
