Na2O is a basic oxide because all the metals that form compound with Oxygen or H2O than the compound formed are basic in nature. Every metal oxide or hydroxide is basic in nature.

Zinc oxide is amphoteric because it reacts with both acids and bases to form salts.

15% by volume of blood your brain gets at rest. Your body contains 5.2 L of blood, how many liters of blood are in your brain at
REY [17]

Answer: 0.8242182 quarts of blood will be present in the brain at rest.

Solution:

According to question: 15% by volume of blood your brain gets at rest

if we are having 5.2 L of blood in our body , then blood present in our brain at rest:

15\%\text{of the 5.2 L of blood}=(5.2 L)\times \frac{15}{100}=0.78 L

if 1 L= 1.05669 quart

Then 0.78 L will be =0.78 L\times 1.05669 quart = 0.8242182 quarts

0.8242182 quarts of blood will be present in the brain at rest.

Which statement best describes the compressibility of a gas? A Increasing the temperature of a gas decreases the pressure. B Inc
k0ka [10]

The answer is C. Compressing the air reduces the volume and increases the pressure. Compressing the air causes the molecules to collide with one another, and with the walls of the container, at a higher frequency. This is becaue the number of molecules are still the same but now forced in a smaller volume of space. This why the pressure increases wiht reduced volume, while keeping the temperatures constant.

When a strip of magnesium metal is placed in an aqueous solution of copper(II) nitrate, elemental copper coats the surface of th
Lera25 [3.4K]

Answer:

1. 2+ (Cu^{2+}).

2. 0 (Cu^0).

Explanation:

Hello,

In this case, the described chemical reaction is a redox reaction in fact, since the oxidation states of both magnesium and copper change as shown due to the displacement:

Mg(s)+Cu(NO_3)_2(aq)\rightarrow Mg(NO_3)_2(aq)+Cu(s)

Therefore:

1. Since copper is the cation in the copper (II) nitrate, the (II) means that its charge is 2+ (Cu^{2+}).

2. Since copper is alone, it means no electrons are being neither shared not given, its charge is 0 (Cu^0).

Best regards.
