Hanging jewlery can be a threat to the healthcare providers and the patients themselves as it can get tangled up in medical equiptment or in some cases patients can pull on them, harming the provider. D is also somewhat correct but I haven't read anything about jewlery contaminating scenes, the reason I've heard more often is that most jewlery hangs.
