Solution: x=5, top angle=80, bottom angle=100

Step by step solution:
Since they are same side interior angles they are equal to 180 so we can set up an equation.
19x+5+17x-5=180
36x=180
x=5
Then plug in the x value in the original equations
19(5)+5=20(5)=100
17(5)-5=16(5)=80

Hope that helps :)

Question 11 of 45
Bezzdna [24]

Answer:

You are only given a Side, an Angle, and then a side.  So that is what I would choose.  It can't be AA because you weren't given two angles.  It can't be SSS because you weren't given 3 sides.

2.) 4x + 8.2 ≤ 32.2 *<br><br> A. x ≤ 60<br> B. x ≥ 6<br> C. x ≥ 60<br> D. x ≤ 6
Inga [223]

Answer:

D

Step-by-step explanation:

Given

4x + 8.2 ≤ 32.2 ( subtract 8.2 from both sides )

4x ≤ 24 ( divide both sides by 4 )

x ≤ 6 → D

Write the quadratic equation that has roots -1-rt2/3 and -1+rt2/3 if its coefficient with x^2 is equal to 1
weeeeeb [17]

The equation of the quadratic function is f(x) = x²+ 2/3x - 1/9

<h3>How to determine the quadratic equation?</h3>

From the question, the given parameters are:

Roots = (-1 - √2)/3 and (-1 + √2)/3

The quadratic equation is then calculated as

f(x) = The products of (x - roots)

Substitute the known values in the above equation

So, we have the following equation

f(x) = (x - \frac{-1-\sqrt{2}}{3})(x - \frac{-1+\sqrt{2}}{3})

This gives

f(x) = (x + \frac{1+\sqrt{2}}{3})(x + \frac{1-\sqrt{2}}{3})

Evaluate the products

f(x) = (x^2 + \frac{1+\sqrt{2}}{3}x + \frac{1-\sqrt{2}}{3}x + (\frac{1-\sqrt{2}}{3})(\frac{1+\sqrt{2}}{3})

Evaluate the like terms

f(x) = x^2 + \frac{2}{3}x - \frac{1}{9}

So, we have

f(x) = x²+ 2/3x - 1/9
