When we say "split the cost evenly", what are you actually doing?
xz_007 [3.2K]
You basically just split it right down the middle. if the cost of something is lets say $75.58, then you would divide 75.58 by 2, which is $37.79

Forty tickets are sold for a raffle with two prizes. You buy two tickets. What is the probability that you will win both prizes?
Trava [24]
Well, the first one is 2/40=1/20. The 2nd one is 1/39. You multiply these to get 1/780.

Y is between X and Z. XY = 1/5XZ. YZ = 20. Find XY and XZ
satela [25.4K]

Answer:

XZ = 25

XY = 5

Step-by-step explanation:

XZ = XY + YZ

XZ = (1/5XZ) + 20

XZ - (1/5XZ )= 20

4/5 XZ = 20

5/5 XZ = (20 ÷ 4) × 5

XZ = 25

XY = 1/5 × 25

= 5
