Answer:

A magnet is a material or object that produces a magnetic field. This magnetic field is invisible but is responsible for the most notable property of a magnet: a force that pulls on other ferromagnetic materials, such as iron, steel, nickel, cobalt, etc. and attracts or repels other magnets.

Un casquillo de cobre de 8 kilogramos tiene que calentarse de 25 a 140 grados Celsius con el fin de expandirlo pata que se ajust
uranmaximum [27]

Answer:

354200J

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Mass of copper bushing = 8kg

Initial temperature  = 25°C

Final temperature  = 140°C

Unknown:

Quantity of heat required to heat this mass = ?

Solution:

The amount of heat required to heat mass from one temperature to another is given by;

                  H = m c Δt

where m is the mass

          c  is the specific heat

        Δt is the change in temperature

C is a constant and for copper, its value is 385J/kg°C

Input the parameters;

            H = 8 x 385 x (140 - 25) = 354200J

A box that has a weight of 40 N is hung from a spring. The spring constant of the spring is 400 N/m. How many centimeters will t
Andrej [43]
The mathematical relationship between force and extension for a spring is F = -kx , where F is the restoring force, k is the spring constant and x is the extension. If a box that weighs 40 N is hung from a spring of content 400 N/m, then the extension is equal to x = -F / k = -400 / 40 = -10 cm. The negative sign simply shows the extension and restoring force are in opposite directions. The answer is 10 cm.

A uniform beam XY is 100 cm long and weighs 4.0N.The beam rests on a pivot 60 cm from end X. A load of 8.0 N hangs from the beam
Alex777 [14]

Answer:

The magnitude of force F is 18N

Explanation:

The magnitude of the force in the set up can be solved for using the principle of moment. According to the principle, the sum of clockwise moment is equal to the sum of anticlockwise moments.

Moment = Force * perpendicular distance

Clockwise moments;

The force that acts clockwise is the unknown Force F and 4N force. If the beam rests on a pivot 60 cm from end X and a Force F acts on the beam 80 cm from end X, the perpendicular distance of the force F from the pivot is 80-60 = 20cm and the perpendicular distance of the 4N force from the pivot is 60-50 = 10cm

Moment of force F about the pivot = F * 20

Moment of 4N force about the pivot = 4*10 = 40Nm

Sum of clockwise moment = 40+20F...(1)

Anticlockwise moment;

The 8N will act anticlockwisely about the pivot.

The distance between the 8N force and the pivot is 60-10 = 50cm

Moment of the 8N force = 8*50

=400Nm...(1)

Equating 1 and 2 we have;

40+20F = 400

20F = 400-40

20F = 360

F = 18N

The magnitude of force F is 18N
