Jen decides that she wants a stop sign or a yield sign at the end of her street. Her city council told her she needs to survey t

he people that live on the street to ask them if
they want a stop sign, yield sign or no sign at that intersection.

Jen looks up the county records and sees that 125 people live on her street. Jen decides to ask only people that are home at 6pm and finds there to be only 46 people
home to survey.

Her results are as follows:
Stop Sign: 26 people
Yield Sign: 1/2 the people that wanted the stop sign
No Sign: what is left.

What the best estimate of the number of people out the total of 125 people would want No Sign?

Which expression is equivalent to g−m ÷ gn?  g−m + n<br> g−m ⋅ n <br> g−m − n<br> g−m ÷ n
Sauron [17]
<h2>Answer:</h2>

The expression that is equivalent to the given expression is:

                       g^{-m-n}

<h2>Step-by-step explanation:</h2>

Two expression are said to be equivalent if by some simplification i.e. by some multiplication or division it could be represented in the same manner.

Here we are given a expression as:

                    g^{-m} ÷ g^n i.e.

             \dfrac{g^{-m}}{g^n}

We know that:

\dfrac{a^m}{a^n}=a^{m-n}

                 Hence, we get:

\dfrac{g^{-m}}{g^n}=g^{-m-n}

An arithmetic sequence is defined by the general term tn = 19 - (n - 1)18, where n ∈N and n ≥ 1. What is the recursive formula o
vovikov84 [41]
t_n=19-18(n-1)
t_{n-1}=19-18(n-2)
\implies t_n-t_{n-1}=-18(n-1)+18(n-2)
\implies t_n=t_{n-1}-18n+18+18n-36
\implies t_n=t_{n-1}-18

So the recursive formula is

\begin{cases}t_1=19\\t_n=t_{n-1}-18&\text{for }n>1\end{cases}

P and q are prime numbers <br> P³×q=56<br> Find p and q
aksik [14]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

p has to be pretty small because it is cubed. 3 doesn't work because 3 cubed = 27 which does not divide into 56.

So we should try p = 2

2^3 = 8

56 / 8 = 7

2 is prime

7 is prime

p = 2

q = 7

A shopper bought 7 ears of corn and 6 pounds of bananas and paid $5.15. At the same store, another shopper bought 4 ears of corn
Novay_Z [31]

Answer:

$0.70 per ear of corn

Step-by-step explanation:

Let c = Ear of corn

Let b = pound of bananas

First shopper:

7c + 6b = $5.15

Second Shopper:

4c + 1b = $1.85

Solve one equation for b since you are solving for c:

4c + 1b = $1.85

b = $1.85 - 4c

Substitute into other equation:

7c + 6b = $5.15    <---  b = $1.85 - 4c

7c + 6 ($1.85 - 4c) = $5.15

7c + $11.1 - 24c = $5.15

-17c + $11.1 <em>- $11.1</em> = $5.15 <em>- $11.1</em>

-17c <em>/-17</em> = -$11.85 <em>/-17</em>

c = $0.70 per ear of corn
