Kinetic energy = 1/2mv^2 so, 1/2(2) is 1 square 5 to get 25 and multiply that by 1 and the kinetic energy is 25. 1/2(2)(5)^2

Answer:

Kinetic energy of the ball is 25 joules.

Explanation:

Mass of the snowball, m = 2 kg

Speed of the ball, v = 5 m/s

Let E is the kinetic energy of the snowball. The energy possessed due to the motion of an object is called its kinetic energy. Mathematically, it is given by :

E=\dfrac{1}{2}mv^2

E=\dfrac{1}{2}\times 2\times 5^2

E = 25 joules

So, the kinetic energy of ball is 25 joules. Hence, this is the required solution.

A box is being pulled across a horizontal surface by a 20 N force to the right.
Oksana_A [137]

Answer:

Im pretty sure it's C

Explanation:

The answer A talks about constant speed, which does not correspond to Net Force. The answer B, talks about constant velocity, but talks about how much force apposes the box. The answer C talks about the value of the net force acting on the box, so im pretty sure the answer is C.

A and B start walking in the same direction at the same time around a circular park of diameter 4200 m. If A walks 10 m more tha
Liono4ka [1.6K]

Answer:

Va = 5000 m / 3600 s = 1.39 m/s

(Va - Vb) 60 = 10

Vb = Va - .167 = 1.22 m/s

(Va - Vb) T = 4200 Π      where T is time for A to complete 1 more lap

.17 T = 4200 Π

T = 24700 Π  time for A to again catch B

N = 1.39 * 24700 Answer:

While running, a person dissipates about 0.60 J of mechanical energy per step per kilogram of body mass. If a 68 kg person devel
Tresset [83]

Answer:

Speed = 2.25 m/s

Explanation:

(Assume a running step is 1.5 m long)

Given the following data;

Energy = 0.6J

Power = 61 Watts

Mass = 68 kg

To find how fast the person running;

First of all, we would determine the total mechanical energy being dissipated by the person.

Total energy = 0.6 * 68

Total energy = 40.8 Joules

Next, we find the time;

Energy = power * time

40.8 = 61 * time

Time = 61/40.8

Time = 1.5 seconds

Finally, to find the speed;

Speed = distance/time

Speed = number of steps * time

Speed = 1.5 * 1.5

Speed = 2.25 m/s
