If you are talking about atoms and molecules, Heres what I would write.

Particles have an attraction between each other because two objects of the same mass will share a center of gravity that is exactly the midpoint between the two objects, so this means that neither of the particles will have more attraction then each other. So this also means that they would orbit each other. An orbit is a way of "circular falling."

I hope that this helps!

In another experiment, a 0.150 M BF4^-(aq) solution is prepared by dissolving NaBF4(s) in distilled water. The BF4^-(aq) ions in
Ilia_Sergeevich [38]

Answer:

A) Forward rate = 1.1934 × 10^(-4) M/min

B) I disagree with the claim

Explanation:

A) We are told that [HF] reaches a constant value of 0.0174 M at equilibrium.

The reversible reaction given to us is;

BF4-(aq) +H20(l) → BF3OH-(aq) + HF(aq)

From this, we can see that the stoichiometric ratio is 1:1:1:1

Thus, concentration of [BF4-] is now;

[BF4-] = 0.150 - 0.0174

[BF4-] = 0.1326 M

From the rate law, we are told the forward rate is kf [BF4-].

We are given Kf = 9.00 × 10^(-4) /min

Thus;

Forward rate = 9.00 × 10^(-4) /min × (0.1326M)

Forward rate = 1.1934 × 10^(-4) M/min

(B) The student claims that the initial rate of the reverse reaction is equal to zero can't be true because at equilibrium, rates for the forward and reverse reactions are usually equal.

Thus, I disagree with the claim.

Which two subatomic particles have the greatest mass?
denpristay [2]

Answer:

PROTON AND NEUTRON

Explanation:

 • The mass of proton is : 1.67*10^{-27}kg

A proton is one of the main particles that make up the atom . The other two particles are neutron and electron. Protons are found in the nucleus of the atom.This is a tiny , dense region at the centre of the atom. Protons have a positive charge of one (+1) and a mass of 1 atomic mass unit ( amu ) , which is about 1.67*10^{-27}kg. Together with neutrons , they make up virtually all of the mass of an atom.

 • The mass of neutron is also approximately: 1.67*10^{-27}kg but a little more than that .

Atoms of all elements - except Hydrogen , have neutrons in their nucleus . Unlike protons and electrons , these have no charge - they are electrically neutral . The mass of a neutron is slightly greater than the mass of a proton but not very significant

What type of plate boundary would form where there is a mountain range present, known earthquake activity, but no trenches prese
Natasha_Volkova [10]

Answer:

continental-continental convergent boundary

Explanation:

When two continental plates converge, they smash together and create mountains. The amazing Himalaya Mountains are the result of this type of convergent plate boundary. The Appalachian Mountains resulted from ancient convergence when Pangaea came together.
