Answer:

Electrons and protons have opposite electric charge. They are present in the same number, but opposite electric charge. ( since the atom is neutral )

Explanation:

if we look at the periodic table we see, for the sodium atom (Na), that the atomic number (Z) is 11. The atomic number is the number of protons. Protons are positive.

Since this sodium atom is neutral, this means that there are the same number of electrons, which are negative. So also 11 electrons.

Electrons and protons have opposite electric charge.

Following the formula A = Z + N

Here is A = atomic mass, and is the sum of protons ( same as electrons ) + neutrons

As we can see on the periodic table the atomic mass of Sodium(Na) is 23

23 = 11 + N  ⇔ N = 23 -11 = 12 neutrons

How many atoms are in 0.075 mol of titanium?
Annette [7]
The mass of titanium is = 47,867 g/1mol

Applying the rule of avrogado

1mol _______ 6,023 × 10^(23) at

0,075mol ___ x

X . 1mol = 0,075mol . 6,023 . 10^(23)at

X = 0,075 . 6,023 . 10^(23) at

X = 4,51 . 10^(22) atoms

Hope this helps

The pOH of a solution is 9.21. Calculate the hydrogen ion concentration of the solution. Be sure to report your answer to the co
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]

Answer:

[OH-] = 6.17 *10^-10

Explanation:

Step 1: Data given

pOH = 9.21

Step 2: Calculate [OH-]

pOH = -log [OH-] = 9.21

[OH-] = 10^-9.21

[OH-] = 6.17 *10^-10

Step 3: Check if it's correct

pOH + pH = 14

[H+]*[OH-] = 10^-14

pH = 14 - 9.21 = 4.79

[H+] = 10^-4.79

[H+] = 1.62 *10^-5

6.17 * 10^-10 * 1.62 * 10^-5 = 1* 10^-14

Which experimental setup would let a student investigate the connection between kinetic energy and temperature? (1 point) placin
Maslowich

Answer:

The correct option is;

Placing one drop of food coloring in a cup with 60 ml of water at 10°, placing one drop of food coloring in a second cup with 60 ml of water at 40°C

Explanation:

The experimental setup that would allow the student investigate the connection between kinetic energy and temperature should be made up of the following characteristics

1) The constant terms for the experiment should be defined, which in this case are

a) The volume of the water which is 60 ml in both subjects of the experiment

2) The definition of the variable that produces the effect that is being monitored, which is the use of the different temperatures in the two experimental subjects

3)The environmental limits of the experiment, which is the water and the food coloring used
