Explanation:

c-o number if electrons shared: 4. doubke bond. non polar

c-cl 2 electrons sharde single bond non polar

I know this cause one dash equals 2 electrons chemistry teachers use them when two compounds are sharing electrons rather then using two dots so people know the difference

Can a solid defuse into both a liquid and a solid
MariettaO [177]
Diffusion of one state of matter into another: Solid can diffuse in liquid. When sugar is added to water, whole water becomes sweet without stirring it because of diffusion of sugar into water. ... Carbon dioxide and oxygen are the two gases in air which dissolves in water by diffusion.

The Ksp for BaCO3 is 5.1x10^-9. how many grams of BaCO3 will dissolve in 1000ml of water
Amanda [17]

Answer:

= 0.014 g of BaCO3

Explanation:

Let x = mol/L of BaCO3 that dissolve.

This will give;

x mol/L Ba2+ and x mol/L CO32-

But;

Ksp = 5.1x10^-9.

Therefore;

Ksp = 5.1 x 10^-9 = (x)(x)

Thus;

x = molar solubility

  = √ (5.1 x 10^-9)

  = 7.1 x 10^-5 M

Therefore;

Mass BaCO3 = 7.1 x 10^-5 M x 1 L x 197.34 g/mol

                      = 0.014 g

How many grams would 8.88 x 1029 atoms of NaCl be equivalent to?
olasank [31]

Answer:

8.65x10 7 grams of nacl

Explanation:

There are 6.02x10 23 atoms per one mol

so

8.88x 10 29 x (1/6.02 x 10 23)

Will give us mols of NaCl

to go from mols to grams we multiple mols by molar mass

so

1.48x10 6 mols of Nacl x 58.44 g/mol = 8.65x10 7 grams of nacl which can be converted to

86500 kg
