Answer: The squamous epithelial layer of tissues forms an important layer that lines the organs in the human or animal body.

Explanation:

The squamous epithelium ensures the absorption or transport of the materials, diffusion, filtration, and osmosis. It forms the part of the walls of the capillaries and that of alveoli of the lungs. If the squamous epithelium fails to function then capillaries may disintegrate, lung alveoli may rupture, and chances of organ failure will increase.
