The first three terms of the sequence defined by the recursive formula are 2, -7/2 and -3/2

Given:

an =  \frac{an - 1}{4}  - 2

where,

n = number of terms

First term, a1 = 2

Second term, a2

an =  \frac{an - 1}{4}  - 2

a2 = {(2 - 1)/ 4} - 2

= 1/4 - 2

= (1-8) / 4

= - 7/4

Third term, a3

= {(3-1) / 4} - 2

= 2/4 - 2

= 1/2 - 2

= (1-4) / 2

= -3/2

Therefore, the first three terms of the sequence defined by the recursive formula are 2, -7/2 and -3/2

velikii [3]
His car gets 21 mpg (miles per gallon). With 1 gallon he can drive 21 miles. For example, with 10 gallons, he can drive 21 mpg * 10 gal = 210 miles.

He bought $19.50 worth of gas at $1.40 per gallon.
$19.50 / ($1.40/gal) = 13.93 gal

He already had 5 gal of gas in his tanks, so now he has
5 gal + 13.93 gal = 18.93 gal

With 18.93 gal, he can drive
18.93 gal * 21 mpg = 292.5 miles

A cooler contains 5 bottles of lemonade, 4 bottles of water, and 3 bottles of juice. Each type is equally likely to be chosen. B
Free_Kalibri [48]
Since each type of drink (lemonade, water, and juice) is equally likely to be chosen, the probability of choosing a type of drink is 1 in 3 picks. Thus, in order to get all three types of drinks, one must pick 3 times.
