The right triangle is a 45-45-90 triangle which means RT and RQ are congruent.

Given, $\frac{1}{\sqrt{a}-\sqrt{b}}=\frac{1}{3}$ → $\sqrt{a}-\sqrt{b}=3$ ----- (1)

And $\frac{1}{\sqrt{a}+\sqrt{b}}=\frac{1}{2}$ → $\sqrt{a}+\sqrt{b}=2$ --- (2)

We have to find difference of a and b.

Now, add (1) and (2)

$\sqrt{a}-\sqrt{b}=3$

$\sqrt{a}+\sqrt{b}=2$

Adding above two equations, we get,

$2 \sqrt{a}+0=2+3$

$\begin{array}{l}{2 \sqrt{a}=5} \\\\ {\sqrt{a}=\frac{5}{2}} \\\\ {a=\frac{25}{4}}\end{array}$

substitute $\sqrt{a}$ value in (2)
