The fossil of the dinosaur looked like it was a combination of two different types of extinct organisms: the meat-eating Tyrannosaurus rex and the Brontosaurus, which was an herbivore. Frankenstein was the name of a monster in a popular story about a scientist who built a monster in a lab. However, this species of dinosaurs evolved naturally. We have looked at the cloning experiments involved in producing Snuppy. Describe the specific technique that was used and how th
Sergio039 [100]

Answer:

Cloning may be defined as the process by which the genetically identified individual of the organism can be created artifically or naturally. Aseual reproduction results in the formation of clone.

The microsatellite analysis is used to prove that snuppy is a clone. Microsatellites are the highly variable DNA sequences repeats that has variable loci and considered at population level. The two alleles are possible for the one microsatellite locus. After comparing the alleles it has been found that snuppy has exactly the same genetic material as the surrogate mother, afghan. This completely determines that snuppy is a clone of afgan.

Can someone explain eukaryotic cells and prokaryotic cells like you’re talking to a 5 year old?
Fed [463]

Eukaryotic cells do not have a nucleus. The nucleus is where DNA, your genetic material, is usually stored. Prokaryotic cells do not have a nucleus. The DNA just floats around the cell instead of staying in one designated area.
