The steel objects can become a temporary magnet because they are mainly composed of iron, which is magnetic in nature.

What are magnets?

Magnets are materials that have the capability of generating magnetic fields.  They have the tendency to repel non-magnetic materials such as wood, plastic, etc., and attract magnetic materials such as iron and steel.

Temporary magnets are one of the categories of magnets that is usually made up of soft iron core. That is why they are easily magnetized. But besides this, the temporary magnets tend to lose most of their magnetic properties.

Steel is an alloy that contains the main constituents iron and carbon and may also have small amounts of elements such as nickel, vanadium etc. It is the element iron that makes steel a temporary magnet since iron is magnetic.

Thus, we can conclude that the steel objects can become a temporary magnet because they are mainly composed of iron, which is magnetic in nature.

6. A 0.09 kg arrow hits a target at 22 m/s and penetrates 4 cm before stopping.
tatyana61 [14]
A ) v = v o - a t
0 = 22 - a · t
a · t = 22
d = v o · t - a t²/2
0.04 = 22 t - 22 t / 2
0.04 = 11 t
t = 0.04 : 11 = 0.003636 s
a = 22 / t
a = 6050 m/s²
F = m · a = 0.09 kg · 6050 m/s²
F ( target→arrow) = - 544.5 N
b ) F ( arrow→target ) = 544.5 N
c )  If the speed was doubled:  v = 44 m/s;
F = a m
a = 6050 m/s²
a · t = 44
t = 6050 : 0.04
t = 0.007272 s
d = 44 t - 44 t/2 = 22 t
d = 22 · 0.007272
d = 0.16 m = 16 cm

A 47-kg packing crate is pulled with constant speed across a rough floor with a rope that is at an angle of 37 degrees above the
levacccp [35]

Tension in the rope due to applied force will be given as

F = 142 N

angle of applied force with horizontal is 37 degree

displacement along the floor = 6.1 m

so here we can use the formula of work done

W = F d cos\theta

now we can plug in all values above

W = 142 * 6.1 * cos37

W = 691.8 J

So here work done to pull is given by 691.8 J

At a 1500 m race, Ken ran at an average speed of 200 m/min. How long did it take for Ken to finish the race? (meter = m, minute

speed =  \frac{distance}{time}  \\   =  > \frac{200m}{min}  =  \frac{1500m}{t}  \\  =  >  \frac{200m}{60s}  = \frac{1500m}{t} \\  =  >  \frac{10m}{3s}  = \frac{1500m}{t} \\  =  > t = 1500m \times  \frac{3s}{10m}  \\  =  > t = 150 \times 3s \\  =  > t = 450s \:

This is the answer.

Hope it helps!!

What is the wavelength of a wave that has a speed of 350 meters/second and a frequency of 140 hertzDoes sound travel faster in a
babymother [125]

Answer:

Wavelength of wave is 2.5 meters

Explanation:

Given that,

Speed of a wave, v = 350 m/s

Frequency of the wave, f = 140 Hz

The formula to find the speed of sound is given by :

v=f\lambda\\\\\lambda=\dfrac{v}{f}\\\\\lambda=\dfrac{350\ m/s}{140\ Hz}\\\\\lambda=2.5 m

The speed of sound is more in higher temperature. At higher temperature, the molecules vibrate with more energy. As a result, sound travel faster in a warm room.
