When you swallow, a flap called the epiglottis moves to block the entrance of food particles into your larynx and lungs. The muscles of the larynx pull upward to assist with this movement. They also tightly close during swallowing. That prevents food from entering your lungs.

In a few sentences list three functions that the hindbrain is responsible for
shepuryov [24]

The hindbrain usually consists of three different parts; cerebellum, medulla and the pons.

The cerebellum is responsible for balance and muscle coordination.

The medulla ultimately controls unconscious activities such as breathing, blood flow and your heartbeat. It is situated next to the spinal cord.

The pons affect everyday activities such as dreaming, waking up and sleeping.

Why might other people get transplants before people who need a kidney transplant
Sholpan [36]
Some people might get transplants before people who need a kidney(s) because of the importance of the organ.

All organs are important and play some role, but others more important.

An example of this is a liver. The liver is crucial to survive, without a liver your body wouldn’t be able to break down foods, clot blood, and pull away and create chemicals like insulin.

It makes even bigger sense for a person in need of a new heart to get a transplant before one person to get a kidney. Without the heart working or beating, you can die in a matter of minutes.

Hope this helps you in the long run!

kkurt [141]
Yes it is definitely okay to drink coffee before exercising, it is actually pretty good! It can help improve your performance I heard, and it can make you more open to losing weight. Which makes the experience more enjoyable, it can be recommended as well! But also have balance and don’t do it too often, you can have smoothies and get your vitamins as well which can help as well.
