There are a bunch of different types of foods that have acid in them, which can cause acid reflex or heartburn.

Some foods that have acid in them are:

Soft drinks (Caffeine, Cola...)
Sugar (which is in most of the food we eat nowadays)
Processed food (such as turkey, beef..)

monatomic ion with a charge of +2 has an electronic configuration of 1s22s22p63s23p6. This ion is a(n) . What is the chemical sy
Debora [2.8K]

Answer: The ion is Ca^{2+}. The chemical symbol of the noble gas this ion is isoelectronic with Kr.

Explanation:

The given electronic configuration is,

M^{2+}:1s^22s^22p^63s^23p^6

The number of electrons = 2 + 2 + 6 + 2 + 6 = 18 electrons

As the ion has a charge of +2 , that means it has lost two electrons so the the neutral element will have 2 more electrons i.e 18+2 = 20. The element has atomic number of 20 and the element will be Calcium with electronic configuration of

M: 1s^22s^22p^63s^23p^64s^2

Thus the symbol of ion is Ca^{2+}. the nearest noble gas with 18 electrons is Krypton with symbol Kr.

I need help please, thanks!
oee [108]

Answer:

This question is somehow not clear, because a typical human eye can notice objects which have wavelengths from about 380 to 740 nanometers. This is called visible spectrum (the portion of the electromagnetic spectrum that is visible to the human eye). Electromagnetic radiation in this range of wavelengths is called visible light or simply light.

Someone even can see extra colors - they able to see beyond the visible spectrum. The reason that the human eye can see the spectrum is because those specific wavelengths stimulate the retina in the human eye. The human retina can only detect incident light that falls in waves from about 380 to 740 nanometers long, so we can’t see microwave or ultraviolet wavelengths. This also applies to infrared lights which has wavelengths longer than visible and shorter than microwaves, thus being invisible to the human eye.

In conclusion, the human eye can not notice that objects with wavelength not in the range of 380 to 740 nanometers.

How many ions are present in 9.4g of pottasium oxide K2O? (K=39 ,O=16) (Avogadros constant=6.0*10^23/mol)
elena-14-01-66 [18.8K]
1) k2O = 2K(1+) + O(2-)

This is, every molecule of K2O consists of three ions (2 of K 1+, and one of O 2-)

2) Caluclate the number of moles of K2O

- molar mass of K2O = 2*39 + 16 = 94 g/mol
- n = mass / molar-mass = 9.4g / 94 g/mol = 0.1 mol

3) Multiply by 3 to have the number of moles of ions: 3 *0.1 mol =  0.3 mol of ions.

4) Multiply by Avogadro's number to obtain the number of ions"

0.3 mol * 6.0*10^23 =1.8 * 10^23 ions.

Answer: 1.8*10^23 ions

The hybridization for the B in Bcl3 is ?
Phoenix [80]

Answer:

sp²

Explanation:

You need to look at how many electron orbitals around the atom.  Looking at the structure below, you can see that there are three electron orbitals.  This gives you an sp² hybridization.
