Since we know the slope is 3 we have part of the equation already (y=3x+b). Now we need to find the y-intercept. To do that we plug in the point that was given to us in the question and solve for b.

0=3(-5)+b
0=-15+b
15=b

Now that we have the y intercept we can put the equation together.

Answer: y=3x+15

Hope this helps :)

Answer:

2630

Step-by-step explanation:

5.6*(10^6) - 340,000 / 2*(10^3)

5,600,000 - 340,000 / 2,000

5,260,000 / 2000

= 2630 or 2.63*(10^3)

mr_godi [17]

Answer:

she will cover a distance of 0.85 km.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have,

Grace swam 0.6 kilometres during her first week of training and 0.25 kilometres during her second week of training.

It is required to find total distance covered by her in all.

It can be calculated simply adding the distance covered in first and second week of training. So,

Total distance, D = 0.6 km +0.25 km = 0.85 km

Hence, she will cover a distance of 0.85 km.

Two-thirds of 24 is equal to 25 percent of what number
Mashutka [201]

well, the number is x, hmmm well, whatever% of anything is just (whatever/100) * anything, therefore, 25% of x is just (25/100) * x.

\bf \stackrel{\textit{two-thirds of 24}}{\cfrac{2}{3}\cdot 24}~~=~~\stackrel{\textit{25\% of \underline{x}}}{\cfrac{25}{100}\cdot x}\implies \cfrac{48}{3}=\cfrac{25x}{100}\implies 16=\cfrac{x}{4}\implies 64
