Beryllium with chemical symbol Be is an element with atomic number of 5.

Be is a neutral element. It has five protons, five electrons and 5 neutrons.

Be2+ is a positively charged ion [cation] of Be. It is formed when Be donate the two electrons that are in its outermost shell.

Be2+ is a charged ion. It has five protons, 3 electrons and 5 neutrons.

SIMILARITIES

1. Both have 5 protons.

2. Both have 5 neutrons.

DIFFERENCES

1. Be is a neutral atom whiel Be2+ is a positively charged ion.

2. Be has 5 electrons while Be2+ has 3 electrons.

3. Be has zero oxidation number while Be2+ has +2 oxidation number.

alexgriva [62]

Answer:

See the answer below

Explanation:

Aqueous solution of copper II nitrate contains solute of copper II nitrate dissolved in water. The equation for the reaction is as below:

Cu(NO_3)_2 (s) + H_2O (l) --> Cu(NO_3)_2 (aq)

Hence, the solute chemical is copper II nitrate while the solvent is water.

Chemical formula of copper II nitrate - Cu(NO_3)_2

How many electrons, protons, neutrons, and what is the atomic number and atomic mass (if any) does Fluoride have?
ExtremeBDS [4]
Fluoride is an anion of Fluorine

What this means is that the two have the same number of protons (9), but Fluoride has 10 electrons compared to Fluorine's 9.

So the answers are:
Protons - 9
Neutrons - 9
Electrons - 10
Atomic Number - 9
Atomic Mass - 19 g/mol
