Thermoplastic and thermosetting

thermoplastic:- they are easily molded and extruded into films, fibres and packaging.For eg. PVC

thermosetting:-they are hard and durable and can be used for aircraft parts,tires and auto parts .For eg. phenolic resins.

Answer:

The two types of plastic are:

1. thermosets (cannot be melted)

2. thermoplastics (can be melted)

Explanation:

<u>Thermoplastics</u>

<em>Thermoplastics such as polyethylene and polystyrene are capable of being molded and remolded repeatedly.</em>

Thermoplastics can be recycled. They are further of two types:

1. Amorphous (polystyrene, polycarbonate etc.)

2. Semi-Crystalline (PET, nylon etc.)

<u>Thermosets</u>

<em>Thermoset is a material that strengthens when heated, but cannot be remolded or heated after the initial forming.</em>

Thermosets can't be recycled.

likoan [24]

Answer:

The answer is "1.4 \ \bold{ billion-years}".

Explanation:

Using formula:

\to N_{Now} = N_{orige}e^{\lambda t}  \\\\

\to 1 U atom produces 1 Pb atom after decay.

\to U's original numbers are now the sum of U counts and Pb counts.

 \to N_U=(N_U+N_{pb})e^{\lambda Ut}

\to 1 = (1+3) \ exp[(\frac{-\ln(2)}{t_{(half)}} \times t ]\\\\\to t = [\frac{\ln(4)}{\ln(2)}] \times t_{(half)}

      = 14 \times 10^8 \ \ years\\\\=1.4 \ billion \ \ years

What gas do all fuels need in order to burn?
tresset_1 [31]
Hi there!

All gasses and engines need fuel to burn because the heat or chemical reaction from the burning fuels are converted into different types of energy that fuel (or help fuel) the engine or gas.

Hope this helps!

Which of the following provides evidence to support Bohr's theory of atomic orbitals?
NeX [460]

Answer:

C. Spectrum of colors emitted by gas

Explanation:

Neils Bohr model of atom suggested that orbital electrons are divided into spherical orbits or energy levels around the central nucleus. In essence, electrons are located at various energy levels round the nucleus. His concept explained the discrete lines in the atomic spectrum of hydrogen. He suggested that electrons can move between different energy levels by simply gaining or losing energy.
