Total parts = 6

volume of diluent = 5/6 × 15 mL = 12.5 mL

12.5 mL of diluent is added to 2.5 mL of stock solution from tube 1 to prepare the solution in test tube 2.

Total dilution factor = 1/4 × 1/5 = 1/20
