The velocity of the bus after 6.8 secs later will be ; 16.7 m/s

Given data:

Initial speed = 8 m/s

Increment speed = 1.5 m/s

Total time travelled = 6.8 s

Determine the final velocity after 6.8 secs

After 1 sec : speed = 8 m/s

After 2 secs : speed = 8 + 1.5

After 3 secs : speed = 8 + 1.5 + 1.5

After 4 secs : speed = 8 + 1.5 + 1.5 + 1.5

After 5 secs : speed = 8 + 1.5 + 1.5 + 1.5 + 1.5

After 6 secs : speed = 8 + 1.5 + 1.5 + 1.5 + 1.5 + 1.5 = 15.5 m/s

∴ After 6.8 secs : speed = 15.5 + [ ( 1.5 / 10 ) * 8 ] = 16.7 m/s

Hence we can conclude that the velocity of the bus after 6.8 secs is 16.7m/s

Desde el balcón de un edificio se deja caer una manzana y llega a la planta baja en 5 s. ¿Desde qué piso se dejó caer, si cada p

Answer: 42

Explanation:

I will answer this in English.

We know that the apple needs 5 seconds to reach the ground.

Each floor of the building has a height of 2.88m.

Now, when we drop something, the only force acting on the object is the gravitational one, so the acceleration of the apple is:

a = -g

for the velocity, we integrate the acceleration over time, and as the apple is dropped, we do not have any initial velocity, so we do not have a constant in the integration:

v = -g*t

for the position we integrate again, now we have an initial height H, so the position is:

p = (-g/2)*t^2 + H

now the apple hits the ground when p = 0, so we can solve this equation to find H.

i will use g = 9.8m/s^2

0 = (-4.9m/s^2)*(5s)^2 + H

H = 122.5 m

now knowing H, we can divide it by the height of a floor in the building and get the number of the floor.

N = 122.5m/2.88m = 42.5

this means that the apple was dropped in the floor 42 (the 0.5 means that the apple was not right where the floor 42 starts, it was dropped around the middle of the floor 42)

irga5000 [103]

The distance covered is 25.9 m.

How deep is the cave?

We know that the speed of sound refers to the speed with which an sound moves in an object.

Given that;

speed of sound = 345m/s

Time taken = 0.15s

We know that;

v = 2d/t

v = speed of sound

d = distance

t = time taken

vt = 2d

d = vt/2

d = 345m/s * 0.15s/2

d = 25.9 m

A loudspeaker in a parked car is producing sound whose frequency is 20 510 Hz. A healthy young person with normal hearing is sta
Vsevolod [243]

Answer:

The car must be moving away from the person.

Explanation:

From Doppler's Effect, we know that when a sound source moves towards a stationary observer, the apparent frequency of that sound increases. While the apparent frequency decreases if the source moves away from the stationary observer.

The audible range of frequencies for a human ear is 20 Hz to 20000 Hz. Therefore, in order for the sound of a loud speaker to be audible for the person, the frequency must decrease below 20000 Hz.

Due to this reason, the car must be moving away from the person.
