Answer:

I think this

One bulb burning out in a series circuit breaks the circuit. In parallel circuits, each light has its own circuit, so all but one light could be burned out, and the last one will still function.

If the net torque is zero, what does this imply about the clockwise and counterclockwise torques.
lapo4ka [179]

Answer:

Explanation:

When two forces acting on a line of action and they are equal in magnitude but opposite it direction, it forms a couple.

Torque is defined as the product of either force and the perpendicular distance between the two forces.

It is a vector quantity.

The net torque is zero, it means the anticlockwise torque is equal to the clockwise torque.

It means they balances each other.

Which quantum number gives the approximate energy of an electron in the quantum mechanical model of the atom? A) n B) I C) m1 D
alexdok [17]

Answer:

Option A) n

Explanation:

In accordance to Quantum Mechanical model of an atom:

  • The Principle Quantum number (n) gives the description of the shell of an electron and the energy level of an electron in an atom.
  • The angular momentum also referred to as Azimuthal Quantum number (l) gives the description of  the shape of the orbitals and helps in determination of angular momentum magnitude.
  • The magnetic quantum number (m_{1}) describes the energy levels or the number of orbitals contained in a subshell and the way these are oriented within.
  • The spin quantum no. (m_{2}) determines the elelctron spin's direction which may be (-\frac{1}{2}) or (+\frac{1}{2}).

Calculate the kinetic energy of a motorcycle of mass 60kg travelling at a velocity of 40km/h
ELEN [110]

Answer:

1848.15J

Explanation:

KE =1/2 mv^2

Mass = 60kg, velocity =40km/h =11.11m/s

Hence

KE =30 x(11.1)^2 /2 = 1848.15J

Many scientists contributed to the current model of atoms. Which of the following offers a hypothesis on how people’s background
Alex17521 [72]

Answer:

The statement that offers a hypothesis on how people’s backgrounds and interests influence their work is that a person’s background and interests can give him a unique perspective in his research. The correct option is B.

Explanation: Alot of scientist has contributed one way or the other in the model of atoms and this was soo because of their background and interests which gave them a unique perspective in the study of the model of atoms. For example John Dalton who was known to propose the atomic theory, studied chemistry( he had a strong background in knowledge of chemistry) and he had interest in the study of the physical properties of the atmosphere and other gases. This gave him a unique perspective in his research works.
