Answer:
COS has a dipole moment because it is asymmetric and the dipole moments do not completely cancel.

Explanation:
As we know in case of CO₂ the net dipole moment is zero because the molecule is symmetrical and is Linear in shape. Hence, the two dipoles cancel each other.
While in case of COS, the molecule is still Linear but is Asymmetric. The Oxygen atom being more Electronegative attract the electron more from Carbon atom as compared to S, Hence making giving a Dipole Moment of 0.65 D.

What is the difference between the mass number of an isotope and its atomic number?
Ksivusya [100]
The atomic number is the number of Protons on the nucleus of the atom, whereas the mass number of some isotope is the mass of the protons plus the mass of the neutrons. That's the difference between isotopes: number of neutrons.

How many total electrons can be contained in the 4d sublevel?
2
6
10
14
qaws [65]
The s sublevel has just one orbital, so can contain 2 electrons max. The p sublevel has 3 orbitals, so can contain 6 electrons max. The d sublevel has 5 orbitals, so can contain 10 electrons max. And the 4 sublevel has 7 orbitals, so can contain 14 electrons max.
So, having this in mind, 10 electrons in total can be contained in the 4d sublevel.
