Find the distance between (6, -7), (3, -5) round your answer to the nearest tenth

Mathematics

Answer:

d ≈ 3.6 units

Step-by-step explanation:

calculate the distance d using the distance formula

d = \sqrt{(x_{2}-x_{1})^2+(y_{2}-y_{1})^2    }

with (x₁, y₁ ) = (6, - 7 ) and (x₂, y₂ ) = (3, - 5 )

d = \sqrt{(3-6)^2+(-5-(-7))^2}

   = \sqrt{(-3)^2+(-5+7)^2}

   = \sqrt{9+2^2}

   = \sqrt{9+4}

    = \sqrt{13}

    ≈ 3.6 ( to the nearest tenth )

Which does NOT represent an obtuse angle
Darya [45]
Hey there!

An obtuse angle is defined as an angle that is wider than 90° but less than 180°. For example, a 68° would not be considered obtuse, but a 107° would. As long as the degree is between 90 and 180, the angle is obtuse. Any other angle (either between 0 and 90 OR 180 and 360) is not obtuse.

You can use this information to answer the question based on the angles you have been given.

Hope this helped you out! :-)

Which inequalities are true? Check all that apply. Three-fifths &lt; 0 Four-sixths greater-than one-half Nine-elevenths &lt; 1 T
Kipish [7]

\frac{3}{5} < 0

\frac{8}{16} > \frac{1}{2}\\\\

<em><u>Solution:</u></em>

<em><u>We have to find the inequalities that are true</u></em>

<em><u>Option 1</u></em>

\frac{3}{5} < 0\\\\0.6 < 0

0.6 is not less than 0

Thus this inequality is not true

<em><u>Option 2</u></em>

\frac{4}{6} > \frac{1}{2}\\\\0.667 > 0.5

0.667 is greater than 0.5

Thus this inequality is true

<em><u>Option 3</u></em>

\frac{9}{11} < 1\\\\0.818 < 1

0.818 is less than 1

Thus this inequality is true

<em><u>Option 4</u></em>

\frac{8}{16} > \frac{1}{2}\\\\

0.5 = 0.5

Thus the above inequality is not true

Anna wants to take fitness classes. She compares two gyms to determine which would be the best deal for her. Fit Fast charges a
mestny [16]
Fit Fast: a set feet per class => y = Ax

Stepping Up: a monthly fee plus an additioal fee per class => h = Bx + C

You can discard the second and the fourth systems because  they do not have the form established from the statement.

The first system produce an obvious result given that is represents an option that is always better than the other 5.5x will be lower than 7.5x + 10 for any positive value of x, and so there is no need to make any comparission.

The third system is

y = 7.5x and y = 5.5x + 10 which need to be solved to determine when one rate is more convenient than the other.

Answer: y = 7.5x and y = 5..5x + 10
