The half-life of strontium-90 is 25 years. How much strontium-90 will remain 100 years if the initial amount is 4.0 g
irakobra [83]
Ok so because the half life is 25 years, the mass will "decrease" by half every 25 years.
So after 25 years it becomes 2 grams,
At 50 yrs it becomes one gram
At 75 years it will be half a gram
At 100 years it will be a quarter of a gram or 0.25 grams.

I.e. the final mass is 0.25 grams

Which of the following compounds would you expect to be the most reactive?
9966 [12]

The compound that would be most reactive is Ethyne (answer A)

     explanation

  • Ethyne is the most unsaturated among the four compounds ( it has a triple bond between the two carbon atoms) .

  • The triple bond in ethyne is made up of 1 sigma bond and 2π bond.
  • The 2π bond are weaker and can easily break which make Ethyne more reactive than Ethene, methane and Ethane.

LiRa [457]
This is a false statement. The negatively charged particles that orbit the nucleus are called electrons. They are what balance out the protons, giving the element an overall neutral charge. They are also the parts of the atom that bond to other elements, which lead to molecules and other compounds.
