Answer:

Q=mc(T-t)

Q=750kj=750000j

SHC OF CU is 400j/kg/k

m=2.63kg

750000=2.63×400×T

750000=1052T

divide both side by 1052

750000/1052=T

T =712.9

A ball is thrown horizontally at a speed of 24 meters per second from the top of a cliff. If the ball hits the ground 6.0 second
makkiz [27]

Answer:

144 meters

Explanation:

it takes 6 seconds to hit the ground right and the ball lays off 24 m per second .

so by the time the ball hits the ground 6 seconds passed. so that means the cliff is 6.0×24=144

Two blocks of masses 1 = 700 and 2 = 1100 are connected by a cord of negligible mass and hung over a diskshaped pulley, as shown
ivanzaharov [21]

Answer:

b) 16 cm

Magnification, m = v/u

3 = v/u

⇒ v = 3u

Lens formula : 1/v – 1/u = 1/f

1/3u = 1/u = 1/12

-2/3u = 1/12

⇒ u = -8 cm

V = 3 × (-8) = -24

Distance between object and image = u – v = -8 – (-24) = -8 + 24 = 16 cm

An upward force is applied to a 6.0–kilogram box. This force displaces the box upward by 10.00 meters. What is the work done by
enyata [817]
We know that work= force x displacement along the direction of force
here force shoukd be equal to its self-weight.
thus, work= self-weight x displacement.
=mass x acceleration due to gravity x displacement.
= 6kg x 10m/s^2 x 10
60x10
=600J

Explain what causes acid rain to form and its negative effects on living and nonliving things.
OLga [1]
What causes it to form: Acid rain is caused by a chemical reaction that begins when compounds like sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides are released into the air. These substances can rise very high into the atmosphere, where they mix and react with water, oxygen, and other chemicals to form more acidic pollutants, known as acid rain. Human activities, power plants, and exhaust from vehicles all are causes.
Affects on living things-
Acid rain can kill trees
It can affect plant growth patterns
Toxins can kill animals
Nonliving things-
It can decay building materials and paints
it breaks down rocks
