Two blocks of masses 1 = 700 and 2 = 1100 are connected by a cord of negligible mass and hung over a diskshaped pulley, as shown

in the figure. The pulley has a mass of = 1.50 and a radius of = 14 , and rotates about a lightweight axle through its center. The axle itself is hung from the ceiling by two like cords of negligible mass and is held horizontally. The system is released from rest. a) Draw a free-body diagram for each of the blocks and the pulley separately. b) Find the magnitude of the acceleration of the blocks. c) Find the magnitude of the angular acceleration of the pulley. d) Find the magnitude of tensions in the cords, 1, 2, and 3. (See the figure.)

Answer:

b) 16 cm

Magnification, m = v/u

3 = v/u

⇒ v = 3u

Lens formula : 1/v – 1/u = 1/f

1/3u = 1/u = 1/12

-2/3u = 1/12

⇒ u = -8 cm

V = 3 × (-8) = -24

Distance between object and image = u – v = -8 – (-24) = -8 + 24 = 16 cm

elena55 [62]

Answer:

A

Explanation:

Snell's law states:

n₁ sin θ₁ = n₂ sin θ₂

where n is the index of refraction and θ is the angle of incidence (relative to the normal).

The index of refraction of air is approximately 1.  So:

1 sin 30° = 1.52 sin θ

θ ≈ 19°

Why do scientists not use US customary units when reporting their data?
Marianna [84]
From britaññica it said time and money. They didn’t have either to switch over from the industrial period and never did. Also from my own person reasoning i think most of the world uses not US customary, so to make stuff more accessible. hope this helps!

1)why do we get electric shock while holding a live wire barefooted and not when wearing rubber shoes?
katrin2010 [14]
Electricity is always going to take the path of least resistance to ground. The rubber in your shoes is not a conductor of electricity, therefore you are not completing the circuit and you don't get shocked. Your bare feet, on the other hand ARE conductors of electricity, so when you hold the wire, you complete the circuit and become the path of least resistance to ground... ZAP!
