Answer:

The Nazca plate forms the southeastern part of the Pacific plate. The Nazca and the Pacific plate share both divergent and transform type of plate boundary. The Pacific and the Nazca plate are separating at an increasing rate of about 122-142mm/year. These are the regions where the rate of tectonic activity is very high.

The Nazca Plate and the South American Plate are also converging at a rate of about 62mm/year, being the fastest subduction rate on earth.

The Nazca Plate is bounded on the west by the Pacific Plate and to the south by the Antarctic Plate through the East Pacific Rise and the Chile Rise.The Nazca plate is an oceanic tectonic plate in the southeastern Pacific Ocean that shares both convergent and divergent boundaries.

What happens to metals when they form an ion?
Anastaziya [24]
Metals generally form cations, meaning they become positively charge - this positive charge is due to the loss of electrons.

The normal freezing point of water (H2O) is 0.00 oC and its Kf value is 1.86 oC/m. A nonvolatile, nonelectrolyte that dissolves
adelina 88 [10]

Answer:

3.74g of ethylene glycol must be added to decrease the freezing point by 0.400°C

Explanation:

One colligative property is the freezing point depression due the addition of a solute. The equation is:

ΔT=Kf*m*i

Where ΔT is change in temperature = 0.400°C

Kf is freezing point constant of the solvent = 1.86°C/m

m is molality of the solution (Moles of solute / kg of solvent)

And i is Van't Hoff constant (1 for a nonelectrolyte)

Replacing:

0.400°C =1.86°C/m*m*1

0.400°C / 1.86°C/m*1 = 0.215m

As mass of solvent is 280.0g = 0.2800kg, the moles of the solute are:

0.2800kg * (0.215moles / 1kg) = 0.0602 moles of solute must be added.

The mass of ethylene glycol must be added is:

0.0602 moles * (62.10g / mol) =

3.74g of ethylene glycol must be added to decrease the freezing point by 0.400°C

The volume of a sphere is given by V-(4/3)r where r is the radius. The density of magnesium is 1.74 g/cm What is the mass of a m
kicyunya [14]

Answer:

The answer to your question is:

mass = 3.74 g

Explanation:

Data

V = (4/3) πr³

density = 1.74 g/cm³

radius = r = 0.80 cm

Process

V = (4/3) π(0.8)³             Substitution

V = 2.1446 cm³

mass = density x volume

mass = 1.74 x 2.1446      Substitution

mass = 3.74 g

I don't understand if the second section is also a question.
